Saudi Aims to Produce 60 GW in Renewable Energy by 2030

Saudi Arabia aims to produce 60 gigawatts of renewable energy, including 40 GW from solar energy and 20 from wind and other sources by 2030, a senior official has said.

 

Dr Khalid bin Saleh Al Sultan, president of the King Abdullah Atomic and Renewable Energy City, said in an interview that there are plans to integrate the renewable energy network of the kingdom.

 

He was on the sidelines of his participation in the 9th General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena), being held as part of the activities of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
